History of the Future Games s.r.o. company
The company Future Games s. r. o. was established on June 19, 1999. The main activity of the company at that time was development of computer games and their sale in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. In the first years of its existence, the company released several titles, among which the most popular and also the most appreciated was the logical game Boovie and the adventure “Messenger of Gods” that was highly appreciated not only thanks to its story, but also thanks to professional Czech dubbing that engaged several prominent Czech actors.
The company launched works on a horror adventure Messenger of Death (released abroad under the name Black Mirror) in 2001. Because of its range, works on this project continued for almost two years and the game was released in the Czech Republic in 2003. It was awarded the best adventure game of the year by the magazine Level, by the redaction of the magazine Score and by the readers of the web site Bonusweb.cz.
The BLACK MIRROR game was released in almost all European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Benelux, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia and all former states of the Soviet Union, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden etc.), but also in the U. S. A., in Canada and in Mexico. The game received further awards – it became for example the best-sold adventure in Germany in 2004 (source: Media Control), but also excellent PR evaluation – 8.5 of 10 in GameLive, French edition. A German reviewer of the magazine Stern, which is being released in more than 1,000,000 copies, wrote about Black Mirror that it is “an absolutely unique adventure”!
Based on the worldwide success of “Black Mirror” the company released another adventure game called Nibiru in 2005 and then in 2006 3D action / RPG Bonez Adventures. Both games continued in the previous success of Black Mirror in world markets. Nibiru was also highly appreciated not only by gaming journalists – e. g. Gamingo.de 83%, Gamesuide 78%, Daily Game 80%, Tiscali Games 77% - but the players as well.
Together with the release of Nibiru, the company launched works on other ambitious projects – a dark adventure “REPROBATES” (“ZATRACENCI” in Czech) and fantasy fairy-tale family adventure game „TALE OF HERO“.
Sales division of the company Future Games s. r. o. focusing on distribution of selected games in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia launched its activities during the year 2005. Sales division of the company Future Games s. r. o. entered into exclusive contract with the company Novvi Disk and it will release a long time expected RPG “Night Watch” based on the story of the novel by Sergey Lukyanenko. “Night Watch” will be released in the Czech Republic at the end of March or at the beginning of April 2006. Sales division of the company Future Games s. r. o. is also a partner of the company Playseats EE and an exclusive seller of the gaming device Playseats into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
